Having the draw distance set to maximum allowed the player to see the entire length of the map in certain areas, which subconsciously made the player realize the map was actually a lot smaller than they had imagined. With Morrowind, the developers purposely reduced the draw distance. The biggest feature and probably most identifying feature of a TES game is the sense of being in this huge world with a seemingly endless supply of possibility around ever corner, under every stone, beyond every hill, etc. mazimum doesn't always mean better, and TES games have been great cases of this. I still found the view distance to be pretty low when I maxed it out. Indeed.draw distance in particular is only set half-way with the default "Ultra." I should mention even Ultra High settings are not as high as you can set it. ![]() Originally posted by Deathage Originally posted by Iselin Originally posted by Pyatra
